a platform on which to build a data collection super highway that efficiently
allows for the collection and transportation of data through your enterprise.
By adding strategic electronic on and off ramps (hooks and plug-ins), data
is collected with various data collection terminals. Data can be displayed
and printed for reporting in any format. Additionally, real time connectivity

Tattoo DC topology is based on its superhighway data collection and display
conduit which is centrally served by one or more distributed Automatic Identification & Data
Collection (AIDC) servers.
The AIDC server is an NT or UNIX system that manages and monitors the data
traffic on the Tattoo DC superhighway and conduit. This technology also allows
for a flexible connection from the AIDC server to the Host Business System,
with a single-point-connectivity, passing data from/to the data collection
devices. Tattoo DC's connectivity software resides on the AIDC server and offers
buffering and synchronization. The software can be set up to pass through data
at any interval, real time to batch. Data can be sent to the host or to a flat
file.
An automatic pilot feature allows you to configure Tattoo DC to your specific
application. The system can even be configured to perform transactions (such
as such as label printing) by simple scans and route data through the system
automatically.
